Participation in Aquatech China 2025 Shanghai Water Exhibition
From 5 to 7 November 2025, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre hosted Aquatech China 2025, Asia's premier annual water technology exhibition. As a global barometer for the water treatment industry, this edition attracted over 20,000 professional visitors from 75 countries and regions. Spanning 30,000 square metres, the exhibition featured more than 500 brands, comprehensively covering the entire water treatment industry chain.
During the three-day event, I had the privilege of engaging in in-depth discussions on electrolytic cell technology with Mr Jakes from South Africa, Mr Kamal from India, and a client from Bulgaria. As critical equipment within water treatment, the performance of electrolytic cells directly impacts treatment efficiency and cost control, making them the focal point of these technical exchanges.
Discussions with Mr Jakes from South Africa centred on selecting electrolytic cell configurations for high-salinity wastewater treatment scenarios. He raised challenges concerning electrode scaling encountered during seawater desalination. Drawing upon our latest titanium-based coating technology, I detailed how optimising electrode materials and electrolytic parameters could extend equipment operational lifecycles. By comparing actual operational data across varying conditions, we collaboratively explored solutions tailored for South Africa's coastal regions.

Indian client Mr Kamal prioritised energy consumption concerns. Addressing India's high electricity costs, I highlighted our newly developed low-voltage, high-efficiency electrolysis cells. On-site demonstrations showcased test reports indicating a 20% reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional equipment when treating equivalent water quality. Mr Kamal expressed strong approval of our technological innovations and indicated interest in further collaboration.
Discussions with our Bulgarian client centred on the application of compact electrolysis units in decentralised rural wastewater treatment. Considering local infrastructure constraints, we explored how modular design could simplify installation procedures and reduce maintenance complexity. I elaborated on the equipment's automated cleaning functions and remote monitoring systems, features designed to effectively address technical staffing shortages in remote locations.
Beyond technical insights, our dialogue explored global trends within the water treatment sector. All three clients expressed satisfaction with the bespoke solutions presented, fostering a highly productive exchange. To commemorate this fruitful technical dialogue, we captured a group photograph at our exhibition stand, marking this cross-border industry collaboration.
Through this exhibition, I gained a profound appreciation for the global water treatment sector's urgent demand for technological innovation, while also witnessing the competitiveness of Chinese water treatment technology on the international stage. Aquatech China, as a vital platform connecting global water technologies, plays an irreplaceable role in advancing industry progress and fostering international collaboration. I look forward to more such exchange opportunities in the future, working together to contribute to solving global water resource challenges.
